On July 7th, 2009, we went to Taipei 101, then the tallest building in the world. We have been there several times before, but never on its observation deck.
Clear skies with no clouds is a rarity in Taipei, so we were only hoping for good visibility when we were up there.
With 101 floors, the observation deck is located on the 88th and 89th floor.
A fast elevator took us to the 88th floor in just 32 seconds.
The observation deck in the 88th floor was indoors, through green tinted glass around all 4 sides of the floor. As you can see in the next group of photos, I have to do a lot of color correction to make the photo look reasonable.

Skyscrapers need to counter strong winds at high elevations. The wind damping system used in Taipei 101 was open for the public to view.
There is an outdoor observation deck on the 89th floor.
It is not as easy to take photos from the outdoor deck due to the obstruction all around, but at least you don't have to worry about reflections and color correction.
