On the morning of Oct 24, we took a flight from Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport to King Mswati III International Airport in Swaziland. Since our tour has a large number of people, we had to split into two flights. My wife and I were on the 2nd flight.
Our bus drivers drove our busses across the border to Swaziland at night (such dedication!) so that they can greet us at the airport.
King Mswati III International Airport is a fairly new airport that opened in 2014. It was partially funded by the government of Taiwan.
When we landed, we noticed that our airplane was the only one in the airport (What happened to the flight before us? Did their flight use the same airplane?) There were only a couple of passengers on our flight who were not part of our tour. The terminal building was a large open space with very few people working there. Two custom officials got everyone on our flight through (I was last in line), and it seems that they were ready to go home afterwards!
There wasn't a lot of people around the airport (except us). There were, however, a few kids and teenagers who seems to be waiting for their parent to take them home (maybe one of the officials who served us?) This teenage girl was so excited to see a group of Asians, she asked to take a photo with me.
Our bus started the hour and half drive towards Mbabane, Swaziland's capital city. Here are some things we on the way.
Kids excited to see a tour bus!

No need for seat belts.
Even the police doesn't care.

We drove through the city of Manzini. This seems to be one busy street on Saturday.
Like in any traffic jam around the world, people always block the intersection.
Jacaranda trees are also blooming here
